How to Install Kali Linux in VMware Workstation 12.5 .
Fully Graphical Tutorial.

I know that it has been a long time since i uploaded a new post. This was because, more editing was needed in this Tutorial. So here i am presenting you how you can install Kali Linux in Virtual Box.

Another thing.........
If i would have included the full Partition method in this Tutorial then it would have became confusing. So i have explained creation of 'Swap' partition and the creation of other partitions are shown in Video attached. So see the Video and complete Partitioning process then only move to next steps.
We are going to use Vmware Workstation Virtual Machine Software. We also need to create a Virtual Machine to Install Kali Linux. I have made a separate post for it. I am going to link the post below. Follow the steps in the linked post and
Installation of an Operating System in a Virtual Machine does not require any Internet Connection. Just remember to run the 'VMware Workstation' as 'Administrative'.
STARTING TUTORIAL
Create a Virtual Machine for Kali Linux.
Creating Virtual Machine for an OS is different procedure than Installing that OS in the particular Virtual Machine we created.
I have made a separate Tutorial to ease out the whole process.
So First Visit the below link and Learn how to create a Virtual Machine.

Just Change the below settings to create Virtual Machine For Kali Linux

After you have completed creating Virtual Machine from above tutorial, click on 'Power on this Virtual Machine'.
It is shown in red box.

The Name of your Virtual Machine and machine's configuration might be different as you followed the above linked Tutorial
1] When the Virtual Machine will start you will see various options.
Select 'Graphical Install'.
2] Then select 'Language'.
3] Then select your 'Country'.
4] Then select keyboard layout.
5] In this step you have to enter a hostname.
Give any name to 'hostname'.
Then click 'Continue'.
6] In this step leave the 'Domain name' field blank.
Then click 'Continue'.
7] Now you have to set password.
You can't skip this step.
PARTITIONING
We will create 3 Partitions.....
a] Swap - Logical - 5 GB
b] Home - Primary - 10 GB
c] Root ( / ) - Primary - Remaining Space
I have created a video of whole Partitioning Process. However i have also explained creation of swap partition step-by-step. Make sure to Create all Partitions then move to next steps.
8] Here starts the 'Partitioning' part.
Select 'Manual'.
Then click 'Continue'.
9] In this step select the hard disk shown.
And then click 'Continue'.
10] In this step select 'Yes' then click 'Continue'.
11] In this window you will see 'FREE SPACE'.
If you have seen my Linux Mint installation post, then you know what we are about to do.
Select 'Free Space'. Then click 'Continue'.
12] In this window we will create 'Swap' Partition.
Select 'Create new partition'.
Then click 'Continue'.
13] Enter the partition size.
Then click 'Continue'.
14] In this step select partition type as 'Logical'.
Then click 'Continue'.
15] In this step select 'Begining'.
Then click on 'Continue' button.
16] In the First option select 'Use as : Swap area'.
Then click on 'Done Setting Up the Partition'.
Then click 'Continue' button.

Follow the steps and Complete Partitioning.
DO NOT SKIP THIS VIDEO.
After you complete the Partitioning process from above video, the Installation of Kali Linux will start automatically. The Installation can take more or less time depending on how fast your system is.
After Installation gets completed follow the steps below.
17] Now in this step select 'No'.
Then click on 'Continue' button.
18] This step is for confirmation of what we did in step 17.
So select 'Yes' then click on 'Continue'.
19] In this step select 'Yes' then click on 'Continue'.
20] Select 'Harddisk'.
Then click on 'Continue'.
21] Now it will take some time to install 'Grub bootloader'.
Then you will see a message saying 'Installation Completed'.
Then click on 'Continue'.
22] Now the Virtual Machine will reboot and you will see a login screen.
Enter 'Username' as 'root'.
Then click on 'Next'.
Then enter the password you created in step 7.
Then click on 'Next'.
23] Now you will see Linux Home Screen.

You have successfully Installed Kali Linux in your Virtual Machine. Now Start Hacking.
